Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the three DGII environments?
testecf is a public sandbox for trials. certecf is the official certification environment — the DGII reviews your integration there before enabling production. ecf is real production with fiscal value. Each environment has its own NCF range.
Do I need to switch from my current system to use Ment?
No. Ment connects via API or webhooks to Invoice Ninja, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and virtually any ERP. You keep using your system and we handle signing and sending to the DGII.
Are NCF sequences managed by Ment or by my system?
Both options. In MENT mode, the system assigns automatically from the ranges you load. In EXTERNAL mode, your ERP generates the sequence and Ment only signs and sends. Switch modes from the portal whenever you want.
Is there a setup fee or minimum commitment?
No. No setup fee and no lock-in — you pay monthly and change plans whenever you want. DGII certification is included in all plans.
What happens if I exceed my monthly invoice quota?
Additional invoices over the plan are billed at month-end: USD $0.22 each on the Basic plan, USD $0.20 on Standard and Enterprise. We do not block your issuance when you hit the cap — your operation continues and the overage is billed afterward.
How do I add more users to my account?
Each plan includes a base number of users (1 / 2 / 3 depending on the plan). To add more, it’s USD $10/month per additional user. Roles and permissions are configured from the portal.
What about digital certificates?
We work with certificates issued by VIAFIRMA and INDOTEL (the CAs recognized by the DGII). If you already have your .p12 certificate, you upload it to the portal encrypted. If not, we help you obtain it.
How long does DGII certification take?
It depends on the test set or Service Provider flow you choose. The portal guides you step by step and our team supports the process. New tenants typically complete certification in 2–4 business weeks.
